You don’t want to miss the fellowship, water slides, pool and lazy river!! Bring your bathing suit, towel, sun screen (any other pool supplies that you think you may need), a (lunch) dish to share and a 2 liter drink. We will be playing outside and eating inside.

What:  Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connections Free Webinar “Lying, Cheating, Stealing”  This training will examine lying, cheating, and stealing from a developmental perspective and why foster and adoptive children may be more susceptible to acting out in these ways. It will also provide ways parents and professionals can help reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of these types of behaviors.

What:  Panel of adopted adults will talk about “growing up adopted”. This is your chance to ask those questions you have thought about as you continue your journey to find your child. If you are considering adoption, you are welcome as well.

“The Voice of the Adopted Child” presented by APAC (Alabama Pre-/Post-Adoption Connections)

What:   ”The Voice of the Adopted Child” is a very informative program based on Sherrie Eldridge’s book “Twenty Things Adoptive Kids Wish Their Adoptive Parents Knew”.  The program is presented by APAC, which is a statewide program designed to empower adoptive families facing adoption challenges and to facilitate stronger bonds and interaction within all adoptive families. APAC is a collaborative effort between Children’s Aid Society and the Alabama Department of Human Resources.  All are welcome!

Tax Credit and Adoption Donations

When:  Tuesday, April 16th - 6:30pm

Where:  Faulkner State Campus in Fairhope, Dahlgren Hall

What:  Understanding the 2013 Adoption Tax Credit.  There have been changes to the tax credit.  Come and learn how to qualify and apply the tax credit.  Also, we will discuss what you need to know about receiving donations from families, friends and churches.  Please join us!
